Fish welfare – you can taste the difference

At Arctic Seafarm, the wellbeing and health of our salmon always come first. In our closed, land-based facility, we maintain full control over water quality and the surrounding environment.
 
That means no lice, no escapes – and no risk of disease transmission to wild salmon. We use clean seawater from the Helgeland coast, filtered and purified before it reaches the fish. This creates a disease-free, natural environment with ideal conditions for growth – and no risk of microplastics.
 
The fish swim freely in fresh, flowing water, with minimal human contact. This results in low stress levels and excellent animal welfare – and you can truly taste the difference in quality.

Low climate footprint – with the future in mind

We know that the nature around us is fragile. That’s why we build with respect. Our facility is located by a threshold fjord, where ocean currents provide natural water exchange – and we run our operations using solar panels, renewable hydropower and energy recovery through turbine systems.
 
Everything takes place in an established industrial area, meaning no new natural environments are being developed or disturbed. With efficient operations and feed containing a low proportion of fishmeal, our goal is to achieve a fish in/fish out ratio of less than 1:1 – producing more seafood than we consume.
 
This way, you can be confident that you’re eating healthy food with a truly low climate footprint.

Rooted in experience

Arctic Seafarm is located in Langsetvågen, Nesna Municipality, where we hold a licence to produce up to 15,000 tonnes of standing biomass through land-based salmon farming.

With nearly 50 years of experience in sea-based aquaculture, they know what it takes to produce healthy, safe, and sustainable seafood – and together, we share a vision of creating food with the smallest possible climate footprint.
